PORTLAND, OR (June 10, 2009) – BridgeFront co-founder and Executive Vice President Lorraine Schnelle, joined by Julie Champayne, RHIA, Regional Manager of Patient Access for Trinity Health Services, present an educational session on Revenue Cycle competency management at the upcoming HFMA ANI: The Healthcare Finance Conference 2009. The conference also features keynote speaker The Honorable Al Gore amongst other healthcare industry experts.
"Our session entitled ‘Revenue Cycle Staff Assessment: 11 Competency Tools’ is both informative and encourages audience participation,” says Lorraine Schnelle, who’s spoken at this conference multiple times and other Revenue Cycle strategies conferences in the past. “The presentation focuses on various assessment tools and techniques that healthcare leaders can use to validate team members are competent in a certain skill."
Attendees of the educational session with learn how to:
- Identify eleven staff competency assessment / validation methods.
- Create assessment tools that can be used to validate competency of your team members.
- Describe a competency program implementation plan.
Other notable aspects of the presentation include: examples of assessment tools, tips and techniques for creating interactive assessment tools, and examples of competencies and performance objectives.
Lorraine Schnelle is the lead author of all revenue cycle educational content, co-directs course development for the firm and has 25 years of healthcare finance experience. She holds a BBA in Accounting and is a CPA. Active in the HFMA, NAHAM, and AAHAM associations on the state and national level, Lorraine Schnelle is a nationally known author and presenter on revenue cycle learning and leadership.
The conference takes place in Seattle, Washington at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center from June 14-17, 2009. Schnelle co-presents with Champayne on June 16, 2009 from 10:15 AM to 11:30 AM (PST).
