BridgeFront Learning Services Executive Robert Farrington is scheduled to teach “Public Policy / Legal Aspects of Health Care Administration” at Neumann College in Aston, PA in January. Bob has been an adjunct faculty member at Neumann since September of 1999, and he has taught all of the courses in their HCA curriculum, as well as a number of other courses in the Business, Management and HR Management curriculums. BALTIMORE, MD (August 5-6, 2008) Claudia Birkenshaw, MSA, attended the National Uniform Billing Committee’s (NUBC) meeting. Items discussed included: adding a new occurrence code for an Assessment Date, adding a new revenue code for Disaster Response, adding a new code for Payment Typology (for state reporting needs), changing the “unit” description of revenue code 023x from hours to days, removing the NUBC “note” for revenue code range 091x, revising the definition for type of bill 073x, updates on the NDC regulation, the NPI implementation, POA issues, coding change requests, the Maine Global Billing Demonstrations, and more. |

PALO ALTO , CA (August 1, 2008) – Stanford University Hospital & Clinics selected BridgeFront’s Revenue Cycle Education Program for its tuition reimbursement program. All revenue cycle team members are encouraged to access the 80+ courses offered in the learning library as part of Stanford’s continuing education program. BridgeFront created an easy to use online course selection screen for employees to quickly selection 1 or more eLearning courses. WASHINGTON, DC (July 15, 2008) Claudia Birkenshaw, MSA, participated in a panel discussion at the national 340-B Conference in Washington, DC. She participated in a panel discussion about NDC Reporting of Physician Administered Drugs. She discussed background material related to the DRA and CMS’ regulations. Then she correlated it to how it may be applied by hospitals, health centers, clinics, and the pharmaceutical industry and shared provider’s compliance concerns. She continues to work with various national organizations, providers, and vendors, both large and small, on this complex regulation. |
